You know, that's all you actually get covered for.

you wouldn't be covered if you needed to stay on for any particular length of time, if you needed to fly home by air ambulance or obviously all the other cancellation covers or any other cover that you may need.

So I would say definitely 100% travel insurance is so important.

And there's so many things happening at the moment between the Middle East, I think there's Ebola, there's so many, the wildfires, there's so many different situations happening now.

In a lot of cases, obviously war and things like that are not covered.

But things like strikes and things like, it's just to be, it's so important to have the insurance.

I can't stress how important it is.

But it's important you kind of shop around, check exactly what's in coverage in your policy.

If you're over 70, you may find there's less exclusions for you.

If you've got an expensive holiday, this is something that a lot of people don't actually factor in.

If you've got booking your bucket list trip to the Maldives for 10 grand

and you only have the standard travel insurance, the cancellation cover is probably €1,200.

It's not going to cover you for, you know, the €10,000 holiday that you paid.

So you'll need a premium policy for that.

So it's just things like that to make sure you know exactly what you're actually buying before you purchase.

Yeah, absolutely.

This is another common one that's happened to me many times before I ever knew there was a thing called car hire excess insurance.

So most people will know you pay your collision damage waiver if you hire a car.

And then when you get to the desk, they say, well, if you have an accident, it'll cost you five grand in an excess fee.

So inevitably, you don't want to worry about that.
