But again, it can be a little bit confusing online if you've booked it yourself because, you know, a quick search and you might find you're looking at UK rules, not Irish rules or different things for EU citizens.

So it's really important, as I said, the Ireland.eu website generally has everything up to date.

and and just make sure you check your fax really and even going to the states as well there's been a lot of kind of misinformation particularly around you know providing your social media details and all of that a lot of the things that we've heard about haven't actually come into place yet but there's a really good section on the visit usa website it's called get fax gets going and it literally cuts out all of the kind of misinformation and tells you exactly the facts what you need if you're going to be traveling to the states

Yeah, I mean, generally speaking, it's still, well, in Ireland, it's still considered two hours beforehand for short haul and three hours for long haul.

But something that is important to mention is with the new entry-exit system for non-EU travellers that kind of, I think, was introduced in April, there's a lot of delays in Europe.

And although it shouldn't apply to us, you know, as an EU citizen, it doesn't, we should be able to go into the non-EU queue or to the EU queue and check in quickly.

But in a lot of cases, you hear reports coming back that,

you only get separated kind of halfway through the queue or up the top of the queue so I would say if you're booking transfers for your return again with a lot of people booking things themselves online like give yourself plenty of time at the airport because the queues in a lot of places are much longer than they have been even if you're going to the same place for the last four or five years and you think you know what you're doing the queues this year will be longer in a lot of places.

No, not usually.

And a lot of people, if they go to book their own transfers, they'll be asked, you know, what's your flight number?

What's your time?

And they'll just be given a time for pickup.

So it's important to say, well, actually, you know, either send a message or call or usually get a WhatsApp message confirming your transfer and just say, you know, no, I want to leave half an hour earlier or whatever it may be.

eating in the airport before you go.

But yeah, I mean, we'll probably hear more and more stories about this coming out now, particularly as the peak season starts, but it's definitely something to pay attention to anyway.

Yeah, it's so important.

It's the cheapest part of the holiday, but I think so many people just don't get it.

And I think because we're so used to travelling, particularly within Europe, and people think, well, I have the European health insurance card, I'm fine, I don't need it.

But actually, you know, the European health insurance card, like it's great to have it and it's free and absolutely by all means get it.

But it's like accessing the public hospital here.
