Like maybe you won't stay out West, but it just applies to hypothetically speaking about these concepts and based on a report from Aaron Portsline.

And the other thing that came out today, and I know Dollywall spoke about it and it was discussed by Dranson Dodd as well on the crossover that Elias Patterson's name has been out there a bit more in the trade market.

I'm not disputing it because I'm sure teams are asking.

Every time I've checked in on this, and I did recently as well, and I'm not saying the Canucks don't want to trade him or they're not open to doing it.

The thing I keep hearing is it doesn't seem realistic because I'm not sure teams have actually stepped up and said, hey, we're willing to take on the whole contract and give you something of even relative value to make this deal.

It's kind of been, how can we get this guy for a song?

Or how can we get you to retain or...

take on loads of bad money.

Not just one contract, multiple bad contracts.

And I'm not against those concepts, depending on what you get back in return.

But as of the last few days, maybe things have changed today.

The sense is in Vancouver that he's probably not getting traded unless somebody gets serious.
