Because so far, the sense has been every team that's asked the Canucks about Pedersen, EP40, hasn't been willing to actually make a decent offer for them.

It's kind of been, hey, we're willing to take this guy off your hands.

Exactly.

So maybe that's changing over the past 24, 48 hours.

And I hope it is because that creates more intrigue.

But that's been the thing I've always heard going back for a full year now on the Pedersen file is that as much as teams call in,

It's not about them earnestly trying to make a deal that works for both sides.

It's them trying to essentially scoop the player for next to nothing or get something out of it.

Well, to me, that's the long-term worst case that you have to wait that long.

But if he actually has a bounce-back season…

the equation does change all of a sudden.

And that's why I'm all for moving EP40.

And there's a good question coming up for overrated, underrated.

Overrated, underrated.

Pedersen even fitting in with this core if he bounces back.

And we'll hit that coming up a bit later in overrated, underrated.

But the whole idea of...

I don't want to take a loss, a huge loss on the Pedersen trade now when there's still time to let it play out.

Like the whole concept here is for the Canucks to get value.
