But as far as the NFL draft is concerned, never has Sean Payton used a first-round pick at the position or second-round pick at the position as a head coach in the league.
George Payton has done it a couple of times.

back in 2011, Teddy Bridgewater in 2015.
So there's some precedence there, but these two guys, it would be a first for Peyton.
It would be historic for Peyton and for the Denver Broncos.
If they move up even just a little bit, it will be the highest drafted quarterback in franchise history, topping potentially Jay Cutler, who was the 11th overall pick back in 2006.

Now, they could also be a trade up candidate, which you don't really get those kind of opportunities in most mock draft simulators.
But we're going to try to find a trade.
