When he caught wind that I was about to go fundraise, he called me.
He was like, do not fundraise yet until I coach you through how to do it.
And he walked me through this masterclass.
And then he was like, and then you have your list of all of the other founder friends you have.
And you get on a call with every single one of them and say, hey, who are the investors you can introduce me to?
And you keep a list of all of them.
And so, you know, like, let's say you, Hala, give me five names.
He's like, great, keep track of all that.
And then this is important, the sequencing of it, because you want to build momentum in a fundraise.
You want the, you know, the valley to be talking about you because investors chirp.
And he was like very specific about you get this whole list compiled, but you don't let people make introductions for you yet.
And then you say on the same day, like make it a Thursday, like,
go to all 500 people or fitness, more like 50 people, but like go to all 50 people and say, Hey, here's the five people you told me you could introduce me to.
And here's the eight people you told me you could introduce me to.
Like, here's my blurb.
Please send this to these eight people.
Exactly.
It's a blitz.
And then you get a bunch of these double opt-ins coming back in saying, Oh, I'd love to meet Scott.
I'm like, Oh no, I'm going to pass.
