It's just very expensive.
And so when you're building hardware, you go through a three-step process.
Design validation testing, electronics validation testing, and product validation testing.
You can't skip.

you can't skip any steps and it takes like a year to go through manufacturing because they don't want you having any mistakes because catching them after the fact is so expensive.
So we were very lucky to have a very professional manufacturing group that we're partnered with.
I'll say actually for the beta product, the not waterproof was terrible because like,
We knew that, like, if a guy peed on it, that would kill the product.
What we didn't realize was that the humidity of just sitting above the toilet would also kill the product.
And so, like, the average lifetime of one of those beta devices was, like, six months before it would short out.
And that's why you do betas before you move into mass production.

Also, we realized the cost of getting this wrong could kill the company because we have to recall these.
Move fast.
Break things.
Only works when the cost of breaking things is near zero.
