I spent a lot of years at CBS.
I'm going to tell you both, I was never Scott inside CBS.
I was either Scotty Mac or McFarlane or tall, goofy guy come here because Scott Pelley was Scott.
He was like a living member of the Mount Rushmore of CBS News, and he was a North Star.
The way he wrote, the way he interviewed, the way he conducted himself, the way he
was such a good newsroom crushing the morale inside at subterranean levels do of mine described it as people are fighting to su what's coming next.
And t that type of culture, that
That's the big issue moving forward.
The bad publicity, the PR nightmare this is, and the morale problems.
I don't know what the strategy is next, and I don't presume that the next strategy is going to fail.
They've got to fix the problem, which is that morale is below the ground, Don.
Whatever they're going to do next with the new team.
with whoever succeeds, the people who've been fired, they need the army behind them.
I mean, they have a they have a worldwide news gathering organization.
I would tell you right now, Don and Tara, some of the most talented people I've ever come across in journalism still in the army there.
You've got to get them behind you and to march forward.
And that's why morale is the first thing you got to fix.
You've got to figure out how to reach these people.
