And I'll tell you something else that really has struck me over the last 48 hours.
you lose sources when you go through bad publicity like this.
As a journalist, if your organization is attached to this type of bad publicity, you risk losing people trusting you, not just in the audience, but in the world of public officials.
That's a transcendent, fundamental problem they've got to fix immediately.
Yeah, I love that question.
You remember this well from your time in legacy media.
You can't just go through the motions in that job.
You have to go out there and try to break stories, enterprise, dig, find things that make your old fashioned legacy media somewhat attractive to people to tune in and watch.
And if they're dispirited, if they're demoralized, what's their what's their North Star in the morning to go chase something big and respectfully?
They do risk losing sources, scoops, exclusives as long as the brand is going through this trouble.
And so you can have this wonderfully talented lineup of sluggers on your team, but you can't put them on the field.
And if there's nobody pitching the ball, I don't know.
What becomes, to me, the most gutting thing I've seen in my time in media, quarter century now, was the closure of CBS Radio.
The goodwill ambassador of the brand in 700 markets across America, completely balled off of all of this stuff.
CBS Radio was the best in class, the best to ever do it.
It was like an arson fire watching it be destroyed.
They're chipping away at it.
Let me add one point with which you're both familiar, but I think it's worth reaffirming.
People are going to sample the new product.
They still have the greatest time slot in the history of television.
