It's a little guy.
He was a filthy sinner, according to biblical context.
He climbed a tree to see Jesus because he was little, right?
So a little fellow climbed a tree.
Crowds were around Jesus everywhere he went.
And this guy was up the tree looking.
Jesus walked straight to him, bypassed all the crowds and said, hurry today, I want to eat with you.
And in first century Jewish culture, to eat was an intimate act, right?
So basically what he was saying is, I want your heart, son.
He's like, in this moment, I don't want your church duty or your religious duty, I want your heart.
And Jesus at the door says the same thing 2,000 years later.
Revelation 3.20 is the verse it's built upon, which says, "'Behold, I stand at the door and knock.
"'Anyone who opens, I'll come and eat with them.'"
So Jesus wants your heart.
He wanted Zacchaeus' heart 2,000 years ago, and he wants Liam Tuff's heart today.
It's the same principle, but he won't force his way in.
He knocks because he loves you, loves a choice.
So he knocks and he lets you decide if you want to let him in or reject him.
Yes, no, I do for sure.
And just to preface it though, like I really don't feel like I made it up.
