No, you shouldn't.

At five years old, you should not be watching slasher flicks.

No, your brain's not set up for what you're doing, right?

So you see that, and then we move into everybody gets a trophy.

So nobody loses.

Well, that may be okay growing up, but when you get out in the real world, you're going to see that you don't always get your way.

You're going to fail.

And I started seeing that, and me and my peers and mentors and people I've been blessed to mentor are looking and going, what is going on?

You know, you get people and I'm like, so I started asking people.

I'm like, look, I'm not saying you have to be former law enforcement, former military.

I'm just asking, have you ever had to work with another person to accomplish a goal?

Ever?

Yeah.

And have you ever lost?

I was on a football team that lost every game.

Damn.

My junior year in high school.

We were 0-10.

How do you deal with loss?

So see, what I think happens is a lot of people get older and they haven't lost or they don't know what it's like to lose and come back from that.
