Well, welcome to the MCG to kick off what is a truly significant week for our game.
You know, I've thanked the media team and the working group on this that...
sort of what they asked me about.
They deliver.
Across the next six days, we will celebrate one of the great careers Australian football has ever seen, culminating on Saturday when Scott Pendlebury runs out for his 433rd AFL game, making him the all-time games record holder.
And I think that deserves a round of applause for Scott.
It was short, it was sharp, it was to the point, no fluff.
It was classy today and knowing who they've invited and who's going to be there.
It's really special to see the other guys there that have played over 400 games.
Some incredibly special guests today from the 400 Club.
We are privileged to be joined by Brent Harvey, Michael Tuck, Sean Burgoyne, Kevin Bartlett and Dustin Fletcher.
It's great to see you all here with us today.
Thanks for joining us.
he's earned the plaudits of his fellow 400 club members from a humble but cheeky Boomer Harvey.
Can I say that word?
To the older guard who did things differently.
You know, there's a running joke amongst us as well that every time we see or get together, Boomer's always into the AFL about...
doing something for the 400 game club because for those that don't know, there's a 200 game club, there's a 300 game club, but there's not a 400 game club yet.
So Boomer's always into them about, I think yesterday his thing with Patrick Keane was everyone in the 400 club should get a car pass under the MCG for every game they want to go to.
So it's always quite funny.
