And as someone who has been there I tell the story in the book about a two million dollar mistake I make buying a car in my twenties.
Um and the compound value of had I not bought the car is literally two million bucks, which is still don't think about too long.
Uh well I wrote about Romo nose in it, but partly to ex to and and yes, I want to go back and slap Scott in the head back then and go, mate, what are you doing?
On the other hand, I wouldn't have listened to me, right?
And so part of the challenge with kids and people talk about financial literacy at schools, teachers actually do a pretty good job of it.
We we call we all think 'cause we don't do it now, we didn't learn it at school.
Most of us learned it at school.
I learned company, I learned budgeting, I learned personal finance.
I remember it.
Did I do anything about it?
No, 'cause I was thirteen, fifteen, seventeen and I don't just I d I'm not at that place at that point.
So being relevant is really important.
So the other thing is trying to be relevant to that when it makes sense to him.
He doesn't want to think about oh, Christmas is too far away, let alone twenty five, buying a house, retirement, man, he's thirteen.
So it's trying to demonstrate those things, show that
We as a family are doing those things.
Um not with dollars, we don't we don't talk about the actual numbers 'cause it's not very useful for kids.
It feels like any any amount of money feels like a lot of money, so it's just not very useful.
Um but that that idea of just
Demonstrating that's important, explaining why we're doing it, explaining the benefits we hope to get from it, what what does it mean to be wealthy is a whole different conversation.
