And now we're headed toward 10 billion.
And then it was 9 billion.
It keeps getting lower and closer.
The latest demographics say we're going to peak, the global population is going to peak around 9 billion people in 50 years or less, 2075.
Peak.
And then it doesn't plateau.
We don't go to 9 billion and chill out for hundreds and hundreds of years.
It plummets.
The math of that fertility rates plummets.
And we go back to 2 billion people on earth in less than 200 years.
Took 200 years to go from a billion to eight, back to two.
This is a choice.
Some wonderful books on this.
It's happening globally because of choice.
Women, couples, are choosing not to have kids.
And there are a whole variety of reasons, okay?
It's not summer climate fear or what they're bringing their kids into in the world.
