I mean, humans have been adapting since we were knuckle dragging 2 million years ago.
Human-like things, you know, we've been adapting.
I mean, it's really important.
A little geologic moment.
About every 100,000 years, there's a glacial interglacial cycle.
In fact, a Serbian physicist named Milankovic worked this out in house arrest for 20 years by hand.
He figured out why.
It's kind of fun.
The Earth's orbit around the sun changes in shape, and the Earth wobbles on its axis and tilts on its axis.
When you conflate those three things, the Earth gets closer to and farther from the sun.
When it's a little farther...
Ice Age happens.
We literally see ice come down from the North Pole and it covers in the U.S., Michigan and New York City and Minnesota and Montana in 1,000 to 2,000 feet of ice.
Canada is gone.
That lasts about 80,000 years.
And then for about 20,000 years, that ice retreats.
and we get more arable land.
So that's a glacial, interglacial.
