If he's playing with Austin Matthews, he's going to put pucks into good spots for Austin or William Neyland or whoever else.
He's going to make a ton of plays on the power play.
It's really just sort of the defensive and sort of physical side of the game, I think, are going to be not just this year, but really for the first two or three years of Gavin's career, a real learning curve.
Yeah, Ike's a kid I've got a bit of a soft spot.
He was kind of a bubble kid for me.

And he could have been on, he could have been off.
He was kind of a bubble guy for me.
But Ike's a kid who is still just a year removed from winning the Hobie Baker.
He's a kid who is still less than a year removed, obviously, from having a point-per-game rookie season in the AHL.
I still think he can make plays.
I still think he can shoot the puck.
I think he's going to put himself in scoring areas.
I think over time, he's going to figure it out.
The risk with Ike has always been that he's a stocky 5'10 kid whose boots are a little heavy on the ice at times.
And...
that can be a recipe to become what sort of we characterize as a quadruple-A player, which is sort of an AHL scorer who maybe never quite is a top six guy in the NHL and then doesn't have the attributes that a coach looks for in a bottom six guy.
So there's always risk in that profile, that player type.
But he's a kid who's produced at every level he's ever played at, who's been a top player at every level he's played at, and who I think –
in time here is going to figure it out find the right line mates that work with him and start to score in the nhl i don't know whether he's going to be a 20 goal guy in the nhl but i think he'll be he's got a chance to be a regular contributor and if he's not i wonder maybe a little if he's sort of akin to nick robertson who kind of bounced around the lineup in toronto and had some moments where he would go on a four-game goal streak and other moments where he would completely
