uh in the beginning there were smaller uh projects five to ten megawatt data centers in the 2000s then 10 to 30 megawatts in the 2010s and then all of a sudden chat gpt and you know nvidia's hopper chips and the ai boom began but along the way i also joined a company called violia energy where i really understood the production of energy and energy efficiency
district energy combined heat and power i started to learn more of the continuous power not just emergency power for data centers and so how that could be applied and sure that really helps now so i ended with a caterpillar in the 2022-24 time frame when this started to blow up where the data center ai boom was happening and i had followed
Wartsilla for years and their medium speed big block engines are a perfect fit for data centers in this type of application.
So I actually reached out to them because I thought I might be a good fit and it turned out to be a great marriage.
I'm currently a business development manager with laser focus on the data center market and gas to power.

So from a global perspective, Wärtsilä is headquartered in Finland.
Funny thing is they're about 190 years old.
They started as a sawmill back in the day and over the centuries, if you will, they found their way into
reciprocating internal combustion engines and really grown in the last half of the last millennium to today with currently, at least for the data center market, we have four key platforms that are medium speed.
I'll call them rice rich reciprocating internal combustion engines.
These four have nameplate outputs in the nine megawatt each to up to 23 megawatt each.
And those can be clustered to 50 to 500 plus megawatts per site, which is in fact what we're seeing right now in the data center market that we'll get into.
These engines are great for flexibility.
