When I was 18, I first made the Black Ferns, but I was a late caller.
The team was already over in London.
I'd never played Black Ferns before, just out of high school.
And there was an injury over there.
And I got a call one morning asking if I could be on a plane later that afternoon and go over to England.
Just a small town, Tokoroa girl.
I've never even been on the other side of the world or anything like that.
I called Nate crying and saying, holy shit, I'm going to live my dreams out of that.
He was working at the time, busy as, but he dropped everything and got on the same flight as me just to come and support.
but she like i was the guy that she would call and go sort the car out and fix the tire or whatever so i'm like happy to be that guy for her this has been awesome um anyone that's listened this far will know like you've got so much to offer in terms of the you've been through and the leadership kind of like we spoke about at the start is like you've got the lived experience and
I understand that now you're looking at sort of, I'm not sure if pivot's the right word, but you're getting into coaching.
You've just done a training program and joining the raw team with Andrew Miller, Rob Miller, who's a good friend of ours in the show.
So can you tell us about like what you're thinking in that direction?
You know, there's so many, it's really powerful.
What do you ask them?
Because I ask them, how's school?
And I'm always like, that's a bad question.
