Espresso is the fastest growing segment in that nation.
So data centre deals are measured in the amount of power required because that is actually the issue for these centres, how much power they can get to them rather than the landmass.
CDC has landed an order for 555 megawatts to run over 30 years.
The company said this was the equivalent to about 40% of the entire data centre capacity used across the whole of Australia last year.
In April, CDC's ASX-listed rival, NextDC, announced it had secured its biggest contract yet to supply 250 megawatts.
So this one is 555 megawatts.
That was 250 megawatts from NextDC.
Infratel's share price closed up 14% yesterday, not surprising, given it owns just under 50% of CDC's.
And that is such a big deal.
Other owners of the group include Australia's Future Fund, so we should all be happy about that, and Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation.
