Okay, the US Federal Reserve under its new Trump-appointed boss, Kevin Walsh, lifted interest rates in the world's biggest economy first time in three years.
It gained the ire of Trump but not financial markets because financial markets thought Fed might stay independent under Walsh or more likely to.
But Donald Trump – I'll just read his tweet and leave it at that.

It was on, you know, whatever Truth Social is –
Interest rates in the United States should be 1% or less because we are the best credit in the world by far.
Or perhaps our country is booming with new investment.
If we stop trading with every country that we have a deficit with, which is most of them, we would make at least $1.5 trillion a year.
The word deficit is nothing more than a fancy word for loss.
We are carrying almost every country in the world and that cannot go on any longer.
Lower, or caps this bit, lower the interest rates for the United States of America and fast.
