You want to see development from your guys, you want to see a competitive environment.

I know he wants to talk about King's basketball and what that looks like.

And I know Doug and him seem to be pretty aligned with what it should look like.

But the reality is, is if if Doug is in the unemployment line at some point in the next year and you've got a pretty significant salary coming off the books, like

You're you're if you're if you're that coach that's on his way out versus someone who's on the way in, you're feeling a hell of a lot different because you're like, Oh, yeah, you know, if I had only had this, you know, then it could you know, it could in the meantime you had to take over the the f you know, the the the the plane that was in the air and you're trying to land it uh versus one that's ready to take off.

Would you guys still run the DHO give with this with this uh group, with this uh this roster of players?

I feel like the action, if they're gonna be successful with it, because I uh you guys might disagree in the past two years when we're looking at DHO, it felt so much more half court set DHO than uh as opposed to a free-flowing get into your action sooner.

Um and to your point, James, like it worked beautifully in that first year because the the the pace was so much quicker uh and and in recent years it kind of bogs down and then maybe there's twelve seconds on the

the shot clock before you start your DHO action to get yourself a bucket.

Uh I I'm I think that the the spray to shooters aspect maybe hurt that a bit uh in in some of what Mike Brown was trying to do and paint touches and all those kind of things.

But um I think those those pillars of paint touches, spray to shooters, all those things, you know, I I don't think they're going anywhere.

I just don't

know that DHO is gonna be that effective if you're in a half court set with

somebody like Acuff, who I think needs to play a little bit more freely.

Certainly you see the ISO that he he brings to the table, uh, where he's gonna dribble the shit out of the basketball.

And I think that can that's gonna especially with a rookie, that could be a little bit problematic.

Um, but whatever helps him with a read react, maybe it's a quicker uh ball screen, you know, especially with dealing with switches which is coming to him, all the length in the NBA.

I don't know the DHO is gonna be necessarily

the best recipe for this team.
