Awful player to him to to play in a pickup basketball situation where you're just throwing a bunch of guys you don't know.
He thrives off of knowing his personnel, and that's what made him effective, so effective at UConn.
Um, that's why you know continuity built there, that's why he had so much success there.
Um, so I think summer league basketball is just absolute detrimental to his skill set.
Now, I think if you look in training camp, if we fast forward
And all of a sudden we're in preseason.
And you're talking to coaches, scouts, whoever, people are gonna go like, Man, this Eric Alex Caravan sure is, you know, one of the standout players of training.
I think it's because of things like that.
The more he gets to know that personnel, the better he will look.
So uh I think he had a a tough summer league, but I think it there's a reason for that.
And I think you can say that for almost anybody, but I think especially for him, because he really thrives off of knowing personnel.
I think the only thing I expected more from him, uh you know, I was curious to see what type of role he would play.
I thought he would have a more uh more opportunity with the ball in his hands than he did.
Um, I was very curious to see how how he would some of the strides that he might have made, uh, with the ball handling and and decision making and
uh they didn't really put him in that position a lot.
Uh especially when playing with Darius.
Uh he played off ball quite a bit.
And I think that was um obviously natural.
