So I don't wanna uh attack him, but
When they went through that 12-game losing streak, Juan Soto was injured.
And it was on him, you know, like it was really up to him to step up and fill a gap.
And he didn't play well at all during that period.
And he didn't play well at all in April, May, and June.
And he ticked up in, or excuse me, maybe maybe he had a hot June and a quiet July, and then he had a hot August.
But the one thing that I'm looking at with him that does worry me, given that he has a $42 million salary.
Is that his extra base hits this year are way down, way down, career low sort of percentages in terms of his slugging.
And so even though he has had, he had a really good August.
He still has a seven hundred OPS.
Which is just not good.
And for someone of his caliber of player at his salary.
And if he is actually entering a phase where he's just more of a singles hitter.
And a very skilled singles hitter, but a singles hitter, then that's problematic for next season because there's already an absence of power in terms of Pete Alonso.
You you made the note about how Polanco was signed in an effort to fill the Alonzo power vacuum.
But so is Bo, you know, like that was part of the idea.
And Bo is never going to be a 35 home run hitter, but he could be a 25 or at least a 20 home run hitter, and he could hit 45 doubles.
In the season.
And he's not having that kind of year.
And I do think that between the super shaky starting pitching of relying on guys who've been in the rotation for the last few years who we know were not built for it, Peterson, Mania, Senga, those guys who just they weren't going to be long-term solutions.
