What's up, Marty?
Yeah, so I'm from Pittsburgh, but I'm working in New York this week.
But yeah, I was excited you started off the show with talking about the Penguins and not the Pirates because that last night's game just started off a little bit rough and I was nervous and then that second period came and it was just an explosion of excitement.
I was in a
New York bar near Buffalo, and everybody's wondering why I'm watching the game on my phone, freaking out.
But I think the biggest thing about this game and then moving forward is that just Crosby being in the lineup, getting the line back to some cohesiveness and being deep down the middle just makes it a lot tougher for teams like New York that aren't very strong at center to match up with us.
So I was just curious, you know, if you think once we get Geno back, I'm not sure what's going on with his hand.
None of these other teams really worry me.
I think with our depth and the way we're playing, we can make a pretty good run into the playoffs.
The only thing I'm a little worried about is our goaltending.
So I keep hearing talks about Miroslav coming up, and I don't think that would happen.
But do you think – I guess my real question is, do you think if Seeloff and Skinner kind of just –
keep giving up three-plus goals if there's even a hint that he could be brought up.
I think that there should, Marty, and I appreciate the call because, look, if you're not going to have a consistent goaltender that you can rely on every single game, and you're in the middle of a playoff series, and let's say Shilovs is the one that gets the net first, and hypothetically they're playing, let's just say the Blue Jackets,
What if he allows five goals in that first game against the Blue Jackets?
Do you go right to Skinner?
What if Skinner then responds with giving up four goals himself?
Who do you go back to?
Who do you ride there?
