Now, Tolkien says that it's not told whether Denethor ever communicated with Saruman, but this was interesting to me.
Tolkien concludes that probably he did.
Yeah.
And that those communications would have worked to Denethor's advantage.
And specifically to work in Denethor's advantage, because again, I could think of, I think we talked about this last time, the idea that maybe Saruman might have, or maybe, I don't know if we said Saruman showed him this or Sauron showed him this, but that he had knowledge of things that were going on in the Gap of Rohan and near Orthanc.
So maybe...
Maybe Sauron could still show him bits and pieces of, you know, Theodred being killed and Denethor's like, oh, that's the Prince of Rohan.
He's dead.
