They don't want to hear you be excited.
I thought, well, it's a big play.

So,
You know, to the earlier conversation about how you're always learning, you know, that was a really good lesson to have.
And then all the other things you mentioned, run-ins with players, realizing, you know, now that when you walk around Boston, you are going to get recognized.
Really all the other things that you mentioned I experienced at one time or another.
I can see why you were the Illinois sports writer here, by the way.
And I know this is supposed to be about me, but I've done a lot of these podcasts, and your preparation and the quality of your questions is really outstanding.
And, you know, as somebody on this end of it, you appreciate it rather than someone just comes on here and starts trying to make up questions as they go and fill a half hour or 40 minutes.
So I really appreciate your thoughtfulness in all this.
That having been said, you know, I think the most important thing is
that I learned still go back to my dad and, you know, and I'm glad he was alive when I started doing the Red Sox games because he was a great resource, especially at the beginning when there were some tough situations.
I mean, Dwight Evans, who was a long time star player on the Red Sox, he, he and I got sideways over something silly.
The whole Wade Boggs scandal back then happened my first year, you're 25 years old.
There's a lot of stuff going on.
So it was great to have my dad as a resource and a sounding board and a
