I was going to congratulate you guys on 200 episodes, but that's not going to happen.
I'm Shad Morrisett.
I'm chair of geriatrics and palliative medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, and I also direct the National Palliative Care Research Center.
I'm grateful for the community and what this community of healthcare professionals has done over the past 20 to 30 years.
And very grateful that there is a next generation that is brighter, smarter, more ambitious than all of us old folks who are ready to take over the field.
And I am very grateful for that because I can then retire.
And I am very hopeful that our fields will move beyond what James Tulsi said is mainstream to really insert into the genome of American medicine over the next five years.
And that not only will we be mainstream, but we will be indispensable and indispensable for every American, not just those who have access to health care right now in 2021.
And again, I will congratulate you guys on your 200th episode.
And hopefully you will be planning for the future.
