But what I was doing is I was spending time with founders again.
What does a Sequoia Scout do?
So it's pretty simple.
They want to make small investments in early stage companies.
And it's hard for a firm, and many VC firms have these programs, by the way.
It's hard for the partners in the firm to keep their ears to the ground on what's going on.
And so what they do is they hire what are called scouts, typically people in industry with full-time jobs, either startup founders or execs.
And they just give them the ability to go around and write $25,000 angel tickets.
And what's in it for you?
What it did for me was like, I'm like, this is great.
I get to basically be an angel investor.
And I get to lose Sequoia's money, not my own.
