You know, you want to start hit the ground running.

And yeah, it's definitely exciting being at a new club, but it also has its challenges.

You know, you're trying to fit coaching staff, high performance people, staff.

background staff and 36 players and trying to build them and connect them as one.

So definitely takes time.

I've seen with the Dolphins, I think it's their fourth year now and they're obviously getting better every single year, but it'll obviously take time for Perth and for PNG to build that.

But yeah, definitely heading in the right direction.

Well, I think the first thing was, you know, we had Wayne Bennett, which we were very lucky for.

And the second thing was after Christmas, because it was World Cup year, you don't normally do army camps this late, but we did an army camp where everyone was together.

And, you know, we had seasoned professionals like Jesse Bromwich, Kenny Bromwich, Felice Cafusi, all doing the army camp, which I think was powerful.

And the fact of...

There at the Dolphins, they build a culture of, you know, player one to player 36, everyone was equal.

And I think that was kind of signaled with the army camp that everyone was doing it.

So I think, you know, it's just about having some good foundations, laying some good foundations of what you want your team to look like, what you, you know, when people go and watch the Chiefs or the Perth Bears, what do they want people...

seeing that when they play, what do they want to feel like?

So I think it's just having your team identity and when their fans are watching them, they want them to feel proud.

They want them to be proud of their team and they want to give them hope.

They want to come out to the game and support them.

So I think that's the most important thing and building a connected group is obviously vital to that.

Like players are going through hundreds of things, you know, when it's contract time, you know, they're thinking about obviously money, you know, a lot of players have families or, you know, they've come from, you know, maybe not a lot.
