At times, the key to us doing so well in the first half was the decision-making we were making on the ball.
Leah Doyle at left-back made some great decisions of when to miss out the press, when to find our wide player.
Alex and Aoife were fantastic in there.
Nia Hannan, our distribution, to play wide quickly.
I think, ultimately, it was our decision-making and the clarity in it that allowed us to go and put in that performance.
That's what I'm really proud of.
Look, when you go training up in a cup final, you obviously expect Athlone to come out and try everything at it.
They're a fantastic team with fantastic players.
It's difficult to tell what way they'll tweak because they're probably not in that position a lot.
But we knew that they'd throw bodies forward and they'd try to get an early goal and they wanted to make a game of it.
So ultimately for us, we rely a lot on our principles in when we defend.
We knew we'd have to make the right decisions and sometimes you've got to just suffer and you've got to work and you've got to do the right actions and be disciplined behind the ball.
The first half we showed how good we can be with it but we also showed we can roll our sleeves up and we can soak it up and we can take it and we're willing to defend as well.
Look, as a manager, it's probably easier in the eye to come in here as a Shells fan and watch that first half and it's great and it's the way I watch football.
But as a manager, to see the second half performance and how we conducted ourselves in the December show, that for me is just as important and it's just as enjoyable.
So, yeah, I'm really happy with
