So the driveway that cuts across from Alves to Stevens Creek, the main driveway, we've had issues with similar developments where neighbors use that as a cut-through.

and generating complaints from the residents in that development.

Have you guys considered that?

Have you put in any kind of measures in place to protect the residents from a lot of traffic coming through?

Staff, based on your experience, what happened with Westport, would you recommend anything more like signs or, you know, because I know we just had this conversation about, you know, how to minimize traffic because that's not going to stop them in my experience.

So, yeah, I would be interested in staff recommendations.

Yeah, I think this has been discussed and answered.

If they have any other comments, I think they're going to discuss privately and then it'll come to the city council.

So I think as far as the planning commission is done is on this topic, I think we've discussed it extensively.

And yes, bring it back to the commission for comments.

So for the sake of getting us started, I'd like to make a motion to approve the project as written with the addition of requiring the city to provide significant tangible financial benefits to the retail establishments to allow them to relocate within Cupertino somewhere else.

Yeah, I mean, that's fine as long as those are not the only things they consider, but they cast a wider net in terms of, you know, can the Arts Commission help provide some, you know, art help?

Can the city, you know, expedite permits or waive permitting fees or, you know, pretty much anything else we can provide as a city to help them across all of our departments and commissions?

Okay, all right, I move for us to accept the recommended action and an additional amendment that the city provide significant tangible financial benefits to

the retail establishments that are getting dislocated, including looking at fee expedited approvals, fee reductions, and pretty much anything else that the city can provide through its different departments and commissions.
