I have to say, when I wrote my book, The Crooked Place is Made Straight, I knew it was relevant, but my goodness, hasn't it gotten even more crooked than we could have imagined?

To your point, they really are behaving as political operatives.
And, Nicole, I remember the times you were talking about it.
I mean, it was always interesting to me as a Democrat hearing Republicans say, you know, we don't want activist judges.
I don't care whether you're a Democrat or Republican.
This is the most activist court ever.
We have seen, certainly in my lifetime, they are clearly carrying out their agenda.
John Roberts is a very patient man with a calm demeanor who is finally doing what he was dreaming of doing when he was a young DOJ lawyer during the Reagan era.
He's cutting the Voting Rights Act.
And if you look at what happened with TPS,
And then the reasoning around that and then the reasoning and argument around Kalei is really striking because in Kalei, which has to do with gerrymandering, the court said, look, you can do whatever you want to black voters.
You can draw all kinds of lines around them.
You can crack them, meaning separate them into smaller districts so that they can't get any rep.
They can't elect a representative.
