Oh, for sure. But there was no intention going into it. I feel like you kind of have to, like, let it happen. You know what I mean? I'm being too desperate? Well, I just don't think you should invite guests if you want to sleep with them. Unless you want to sleep with me, which, like. Yeah. That we're totally going to do. It's a completely different story.
So my boyfriend has a podcast. He, at the time, DM'd me on Instagram and was like, hey, I'd love to have you on. And I was like, yeah, message my publicist. Did you think he was cute? I thought he was cute. I just thought it was like, wow, straight men never invite me on their podcast. Right. I'm not their demo. So I was like, this is good.
So I was just like email my publicist and like, you know, who knows? And then they said, yeah, you should do it. Great. I remember getting ready that morning. I remember this day so well. I got ready that morning and I was about to get on the subway because I knew it was in Brooklyn. And I just get a random text on my phone being like, hey, it's Felix. Like your car is like outside waiting for you.
I, like, got in the car, and I remember he, like, had him. I expected my publicist to be waiting outside for me. Like, he wasn't. Like, I was like, why am I hiring you? No shit. But I was like, what? And Felix was outside of the podcast studio, like, on the street with his videographer. So literally the moment we meet is on camera. That's weird. That's weird. It was so weird.
But you have it now forever. No, I'm obsessed. And then I remember getting to the room, and, like, right before we started, it was just, like, this instant magnetic just, like, pull. And the whole podcast episode, like, we're flirting.
Right? And six minutes in, I basically was, like, dating someone at the time who was, like, super toxic. But at the time, I was moving to L.A. I was done with love. I'd been dating in New York all my 20s. I was single. I'm born and raised in Manhattan. Okay, wow. Maybe I need to switch it up and, like, go somewhere geographically different.
And I was really leaning towards L.A., which I don't even think was a good idea. Bad idea for dating. And I can't drive. So, like, I don't really know where I was. But I just, like, I think that I had made peace with, like, my partner person isn't in New York. And you know when they say, like, it happens when you least expect it. It's so annoying. I'm so sick of that. I'm so sick of it.
But it's so true. But, like, look what happened. Like, I had no intention. No. I just was there to do a podcast. And so I was dating a person at the time who was super toxic. It was an actor. Slash SoulCycle instructor. Like, he was horrible to me. Horrible. But, like, I don't want to offend my boyfriend. But, like, he was good in some areas. But he was, like, super toxic.
And when I went on the podcast with Felix, I felt so comfortable. And I was like, okay, I need to talk to you about this. Like, I was asking for advice. And I basically was saying, like, I'm struggling with love because I think that I'm too much.
And he said, for the right person, you'll be the perfect amount. I literally got wet. I literally, yeah, that. And I literally just go, are you hitting on me? I'm down. And he was like, no. And I was like, oh, okay. Wait, he wasn't hitting on you?
A hundred percent. He was like, I'm just, let's keep it professional. I was like, yeah, for sure, for sure. You're like... Hello. And then at the end of the podcast, I was like, he was like, you're so big on manifesting. I was like, for sure. Like in two years, I'll definitely be in a relationship. And he was like, yeah, with who? And I was like, I don't know. I guess we'll have to see.
I'll bring him to the podcast. And he was like, yeah. And like it was him, which is so crazy. Three weeks later, we were official.
Crazy.
