It's just, it's so great to see that it came from a live Instagram live vaping show, which is why I tell people, like, I think that.
There's so much fear in starting a new project or a business or something. And I'm like, just start with the idea. I started with going live on Instagram, asking someone's friend to go on a date with me on Instagram Live. And then that became another episode. And then that became a show. And then from there, I was like, you know what?
I'm going to write all these questions out and put them on a card game. And I'm going to order 250, and we'll see if I can sell them. That became a million-dollar business with four card games. Everything just starts... I think there's this idea of success. It has to be... You have to all figure it out. I never thought I was going to write a book. I mean, I was an English major, so potentially.
Thank God that degree came to use. Because those degrees usually suck English. So bad. So bad. But I think that for me, I dated so much, and I never felt... I had a lot of imposter syndrome of like... I can't write a book about dating. I don't even, I don't have a part. Am I really the one to get, when you said the dating and sex expert, I'm like, is that me? But I'm like, you know what?
I've dated a lot, I've fucked a lot, I've gotten fucked over a lot. I really like, I have a lot of experience and knowledge and I genuinely want to give it and pass it on and to help women. And the point of the book is not to tell you like, This is what you should wear. Like, this is how you should, like, text.
It's really, like, rooted in you are the main fucking character. And if you feel so good about yourself and enjoy dating as a fun thing. Yes. Because every person I talk to are like, oh, dating sucks. It's so hard. I'm like, guess what? Then it's going to suck and it's going to be hard. People say that, like, dating sucks in New York.
I'm not committing. It is what you make of it.
It is what you make of it. I know firsthand how shitty it can be. Yes. But if your branding experience is not fun, then it's not going to be fun. And really the book, what it's going to do is it's going to reinvigorate you.
Like when I pitched it to the publishers, one woman was like, I'm literally married and I deadass want to be single after reading your proposal because you're making it seem so fun. I'm like, because it is.
