In fact, with the increases in contribution rates and all of those kinds of things, we could be looking at trillions of dollars of savings in New Zealand.

And that, to me, is a real source of opportunity.

For a long time, New Zealand has been a country that hasn't had enough savings, so we couldn't invest in the things that we want to invest in.

And we have an infrastructure deficit.

You know, when you think about roads, hospitals, bridges, that's where the biggest opportunity for me is.

Can you imagine us investing in our own things, building our own things for our own benefit?

I think it's totally possible.

So there is this real opportunity that I think is coming down the pipe for us if we choose to use it.

No, I think you're absolutely right in that there is never an end point in good regulation.

It's an evergreen issue.

We should always be looking to make sure it gets better.

So certainly at Simplicity, we kind of talk our own book, but I think fees is a really big issue.

The estimated fees this year is going to be a billion dollars.

I do not see these fund managers working very hard for the billion dollars.

I really resent that we pay all this money as a country for pretty much vanilla product from a whole bunch of people.

So, no, I do think we need a lot more disclosure, a lot more scrutiny, a lot more pressure from our regulators.

As it gets bigger, I think we do need to make sure that we're doing right by our members and by New Zealanders.

If you're going to make it compulsory, it needs to come with some really sharp regulation to make sure everything is really good.

But having said that, we haven't had any failures of KiwiSafers per se.

Now, people haven't lost their money because somebody's stolen it and had a holiday and they came in or whatever.
