I just think he was like, I remember learning he was gay and I didn't.

I was oblivious.

Even Rufus Wainwright.

I mean, if you see him for a minute, you're like, that's a gay guy.

But like, I didn't know at the time.

And so he sings this song differently to his father.

People say his father is kind of their selfishness to it about how he's his own little man.

But for me, it was about I was independent growing up.

I kept my own counsel.

I did my own thing.

and I didn't want any help.

Now, that's for better or worse.

Who knows?

But I think, for me, a lot of one-man-guy is about how I felt growing up, and I think keeping myself to myself.
