And so traditional money advice plays in that space.
It's like, okay, well, I'll give you the plan to pay off debt, but you're going to come back to me like three months later and say this doesn't work or whatever.

So the work I do is really figuring out, okay, let's do the puzzle pieces before that, because those are the tools in the toolkit I want you to have.
The debt paying off piece is the easiest piece.
Once you have the tools in the toolkit of how to deal with this emotionally, because you're right, we get stuck in the comfortable places.
And even though we don't like it, we want to be out of debt.
Being in debt is comfortable.
It's what our body and brain knows.
And your brain's lazy.
It likes comfortable.
And so it's going to do what it needs to do to keep you in that spot.
And you really have to, again, it's like pushing a boulder uphill.
You have to introduce some different things in the equation to really change that.
And to me, that's the work that most money experts, they're just not even trained to do.
Mm-hmm.
I would say buying that watch from my boyfriend in college was the first taste of debt.
And if I would have, I think, had a better comprehension of how my emotion was playing into that decision, I think it would have changed my entire financial trajectory.
I used to believe that my worth equaled my bank account balance.
