So when did it click for you?
Like, you know what?
You see your dad on television and you weren't necessarily going that route, but you wanted to be on television.
You knew at a very young age you wanted to be on television.
And it seemed like stand-up got your attention.
How did you get into stand-up and who kind of brought you to that light?
Yeah, I was just opening up for the preacher man.
That's what it was.
wherever my dad would go he would put me on first and at first it was kind of like a cute little gimmick like i would do like the you know little baby preacher you know what i mean have my little sermons about shadrach meshach and the big black negro so you had a little bob you had a little kid all of that i was in the suit me and my dad be matching all of that stuff but um i just knew that wasn't the way i was doing too much sinning to ever be i couldn't be in that life right so but
I love the attention.
I love being able to make people emote, whether it was laugh or clap or cheer.
So I was like, oh, there's something here.
So and it was my dad.
