AI really helps workers, but it also just makes it a lot easier to keep tabs on what people are doing, whether it's looking for risk, like, oh, this person is maybe sharing too much information with people they shouldn't, and, oh, they're sharing sensitive customer information, or, oh, it looks like employees are all really unhappy right now.
AI can sift through a lot of messages and search for keywords or give you like employee sentiment.
But AI is making it a lot easier to see how productive people are and what they're doing with their time.
It is in person, preferably with just one other person that you really trust.
Go get a coffee with your coworker if you need to vent.
We all need to vent and complain sometimes.
And doing that in a work context also helps you bond with your colleagues who are feeling the same sort of thing.
So it's not realistic to say we're never going to complain, but we just need to be careful about where and how we're doing it.
It doesn't have to be that complex.
You can put down a couple credit cards or Venmo your friends.
But when things get more complicated, like someone who doesn't drink or someone who drinks a lot or things that are really out of the norm for the rest of the group, that's where you need to think about different ways to divide the tab.
It really comes down to the end of the night when you have to pay for whatever it is you did.
A lot of people try to gauge what is everybody else going to order?
Is it really okay for me to have a second drink?
What if I just have water?
How do you make sure everything is fair and you're not overpaying or underpaying or escaping paying entirely and have these fun nights with your friends without having kind of the tension that comes with money conversations?
Yes.
You know, it doesn't have to be that complex.
If you're planning to split the bill, you can put down a couple credit cards or Venmo your friends.
When things get more complicated, like someone who doesn't drink or someone who drinks a lot or things that are really out of the norm for the rest of the group, that's where you need to think about different ways to divide the tab.
