In fact...
the house where I grew up, we moved from there.
So from one to 12, I lived in a house that right behind was still bomb sites.
Even when I left at 12, there was still bomb sites.
everything was related to the war.
There were even, I can remember as a child, there were gas masks hanging as you came into our house where you'd hang your coat, there were gas masks hanging.
Still?
Yeah.
And there were air raid shelters at the bottom of our garden.
Yeah, because we all, I mean, we all played on the bomb sites.
It was right at the back of our house.
