Exactly.

And it can be like three to six months sometimes that we're struggling with that.

Right.

Yes.

And I think sort of our key thoughts are like, it's not a behavior problem.

Or I guess maybe it is a behavior problem because it is a problem to you, but it's not bad behavior.

The child's not trying to be bad.

Right.

But it's usually reflective of maybe a communication difference or deficit, a skill deficit, a nervous system, overload,

know, something like that.

Exactly.

And then we talked about using acceptance and commitment therapy as a lens to approach the problem.

And of course, we're not psychologists

But in simple terms, like sort of taking this idea that we don't have to erase those hard feelings in order for the child to be successful and that we can feel nervous and do it.

Exactly.

That they can feel sad and still say goodbye.

And with repeated practice, hopefully they're feeling less sad and more confident.

And the reason I love ACT, well, many reasons, but I think it's such a confidence builder, right?
