Um and coming out with like the uh you know, I always think like those Instagram advice and the phrases like it's stressful as a period 'cause I want to do a good job.

But then sometimes in the moment I'm like, ah, what was that uh tip I was supposed to do?

Right, exactly.

Um, and so let's dive into why back to school can be really hard.

Um from a behavioral lens.

Uh I would say even for kids that are really excited to go back to school, right?

You and this is where it might come as a surprise then when the transition doesn't go well, is you're like, What you're so excited?

Why is this so hard?

Right.

Um, but it is like a pretty big shift, no matter how structured your summer was or how loose it was, right?

It's not the same thing.

Um, and so potentially you're leaving this flexible and reinforcing environment into this one that you don't prefer as much.

That's one theory.

But there are lots of kids that look forward to going back to school.

Yep.

Um also during the summer, we see like they have more access to preferred activities, maybe, maybe a little bit more choice in what they're doing, maybe more flexible mornings, certainly uh or generally less academic demands.

Um and then school starts and then you're in this like new environment.

You gotta wake up earlier.

Yeah.

You gotta follow all these instructions.
