So when we get to the scene, the first thing we can see is Ryan on the gurney, the ambulance gurney, lying back and his arm up like this.

And there's a couple of neighbours gathering around and the road had been blocked.

There was a few people and paramedics and Ryan's friend Dara and his mum.

And we're like,

you know, I kind of ditched the car and we ran up to them and the ambulance crew, to be fair to them, like were fantastic, you know, they kind of keeping us calm and just saying like, you know, he's definitely shoulder, some serious shoulder injury and chest kind of injury and cuts and scrapes and stuff like that.

But he was, he was awake and he looked at me and Shawnee, he called me Shawnee and he's like, Shawnee, how's your eye bud?

It's ground, like you're fine.

And he just said, I can't, can't talk, too sore, can't talk.

And I said, grand, I said, you just have a broken shoulder, you know, something, you're grand.

I said, you're grand, just kept saying you're grand, you're grand, like, you know, I don't even know what I was saying.

So, in the field across the road then, a helicopter was called and they landed and the advanced paramedics and they took him in to the ambulance and they got into the back of the ambulance with him and, you know, they were in the ambulance and

word had kind of gotten around then that he had an accident and people were ringing and we were trying to just inform aunties and uncles and friends and

Then maybe about 15 minutes later, they come out and they said, no, we don't need to airlift them.

We think it's just a lot of like shoulder trauma and all that kind of stuff.

We're going to bring some more.

So you're like, right, grand.

Oh, so panicked.

But then at the same time, he was awake.
