I would still be trying to move that contract out.

I think with Anderson, there are rightfully some durability concerns, but he's not expected to be the guy, and at that cap, it doesn't feel like it, right?

He's someone that can still be very capable and be a good mentor, too, for someone like Devin Levi.

I think it's

you know, the Oilers are trying to do this from scratch, find a really, like, low-key, inexpensive goal situation, finding an up-and-comer like Levi where, you know, the Sabres had a surplus of goalies.

It makes perfect sense why they'd move on from him.

I kind of like that bet versus, you know, last year we saw a lot of these, like, aging veterans get these longer-term contracts, like Jake Allen, or you're seeing, like, Dan Vladar getting a bigger investment this year.

I think going for Levi is a better move.

My only critique would really be,

I still think they could use a little bit more help up front, and because they didn't move out the nurse contract sooner, they couldn't be in on guys like, say, Kyrou or Paterka, who I think would have been really interesting for them.

So that's what's missing for me.

To get Kapanen back is a big win.

I think he's so effective with Dreisaitl, and he could be –

on the third line as well.

But one more forward move, I think, would really bring it home.

I would say wait and see how the trade market unfolds, because right now, could they add an Anthony Manthews coming off a bounce back year?

Sure.

Right.

Like it's the Anthony Manthews week stakes part of the offseason, which isn't really that exciting.

But I'm curious how the trade market unfolds, because there are still players available.
