California voters easily approved a ballot measure that's aimed at giving Democrats five more seats in Congress in next year's midterms.

A UPS cargo plane crashed near the airport in Louisville, Kentucky Tuesday, killing at least seven people and injuring 11 others.

As NPR's Joel Rose reports, the crash occurred shortly after takeoff, causing a fiery explosion.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says a listeria outbreak linked to prepared pasta meals has resulted in six deaths and sickened 27 people in 18 states.

The pasta was sold at grocery chains across the nation.

The CDC says the outbreak began in June, prompting recalls of several brands of ready-to-eat chicken fettuccine Alfredo, meals that were made by Fresh Realm.

The product was sold under the Home Chef brand at Kroger and under the MarketSide brand at Walmart.

The Supreme Court is set to hear arguments today that will test the legality of President Trump's tariffs.

As NPR's Nina Totenberg reports, the hearing will focus on whether the International Economic Powers Act, or IEEP, allows Trump to set tariff rates on his own.

Former Vice President Dick Cheney has died at the age of 84.

Cheney served alongside President George W. Bush and was considered the architect of the world in terror.
