The Cardinals trading back into the first round from 34 to 22 and making a trade with the Los Angeles Chargers because the Chargers, Austin, only has five picks in this draft.
One in the top 50.
And so they maybe could use a little more draft capital.
And so the Cardinals say, we want to move up from 34 to 22.
We're going to do a very similar trade to the Jackson Dart trade from a year ago.
We're going to give you a third this year, number 65 overall.
And we're going to give you a 2027 fourth because we want to get back up in the first round ahead of the Cleveland Browns there because maybe they'd be interested in Ty Simpson.
And we're going to take Ty Simpson at 22.
So Cardinals go from 34 to 22, give up a third this year and a 2027 fourth to the Chargers.
What do you think?
You know, it will be one of the biggest stories in the first round, especially because of the conversation around him, like you alluded to.
I'm still sticking to, I don't think anyone takes him in the first round because of the small sample.
I think, you know, day two, first 10 picks.
I think that's probably where he ends up going, but I could be wrong.
I was looking at this.
You mentioned, like you mentioned,
the Steelers.
Maybe it's a team like the Cardinals, whoever, maybe there is a team that will get back in there and try to draft him.
I'm just not convinced that that small sample, you know, that has just been the trickiest thing with quarterback evaluation is just, that's been the one thing to not really get too confident on a very small sample with a quarterback that has burned teams time and again.
So we'll see what happens there.
