I just wanted to make a comment that at some point and soon we should hear from finance about the impact on city operations if no increase in any taxes was proposed.

I mean, I recall in 2023 we did something similar.

And I heard the comment from the member of the public who said the population has stayed stable or population has decreased a little bit.

But the fact is our need for services and the demand for services has definitely increased and it seems to be increasing.

year by year.

So I'm not sure that's a good comparison that that our expenditures, the city expenditures are not directly and solely tied to population increases.

My suggestion would be let's look at the budget and the impact on the budget if we did nothing at all.

Because increasing taxes is a big thing and no one likes it.

I certainly don't like it.

And it's almost like a last ditch measure that we embark on.

Yeah, I wanted to go back to the nepotism item.

I don't think we've had, or at least currently, we have two family members serving on two different commissions.

And I would have a concern with a family member being appointed to one commission and a child being appointed to a teen commission.

Because, you know, I understand the role model aspect of it and so on.

But we have lots and lots of applicants for the teen commission.

And as you know, Mayor, it's just an impossible situation to pick the most qualified or the...

or who we perceive as the most qualified.
