I had a budget question for you, Jonathan.
When we approved the budget for the current year,
the sheriff's contract did come up for discussion.
And I recall finance staff saying that you had already estimated an increase for the sheriff's contract in the budget.
And I know that you're saying this exceeds what you had estimated.
So when you talk about each 10% increase will increase cost by 2 million or close to 2 million, we're not really looking at the whole amount, right?
We should be looking at the difference between what you budgeted and what could be the final number.
My understanding was that you had budgeted more than just the cost of the CPI cost because we were expecting a new contract and we were expecting much more than a CPI increase.
