And I do have one of my best friends also went to San Diego State and she ended up joining AKIO in her sophomore year only because all of her friends were in it.
And it just became the type of thing where like she didn't, she had, she's like the least sorority girl ever, but because she could never go out with them, she did it just to like...
be able to hang out with her friends that she had made freshman year she didn't care about like the parties themselves but just because she was never able to like go to the same events as them so I feel like maybe for that reason it's like it sucks that it matters that much but I think it is definitely like a social like kind of like a social hierarchy thing especially when you're a freshman and you want to like have that like thing in your bio
I remember like the party thing when I was in a sorority compared to when I was even at like such a like non-party school was just so dumb of if you were in a sorority like you technically like weren't allowed into the frats or if you didn't have like a bid you weren't and like my teammates and I like we would literally go to the frats and be like we're athletes like we can't be in Greek life can we just like please come in like we're not a liability or whatever and like
they would go like down to the wire and like make a show our roster photos like in line to get into the frats and like be like i don't believe you like i don't believe that this isn't you and we're like we literally go to berkeley like this is not a party school like these frats are not that good and like the hierarchy that like gets made like through all that like and through all those like rules and everything is just like so ridiculous but like at the end of the day too like if you're i have plenty of friends a lot of my friends are not in greek life and it's just like
It's not that big of a deal.
Like, you'll be able to get in places.
There's bars, too, and, like, you become an upperclassman, etc.
But I do think that that's probably, yeah, like, one of the biggest, like... Don't just join just so that you can get into the frats.
They're not that great all the time, so... That's, like, crazy, because at my school, it's, like, not like that at all.
Like, literally anyone can go to any party, and so I just have always thought that that concept's, like...
crazy I mean it's like fun to say like freshman year like what sorority were you in if a guy was like asking is like conversation but like besides that I feel like it literally doesn't matter.
