Like, really, like, think about, like, when you're going into philanthropy day, like, really think about, like, which one, like, you feel like you can really, like, want to, like, embody and represent and, like, give back to and, like, which one you really resonate with.
Like, I know with Kappa, like, being mental health, that just, like, went across for so many different people in so many different ways.
And
philanthropy was definitely what sold me already on a joint kappa so yeah like it it may seem like something that like you have to do but like if you really can resonate with it and want to give back in that way like it makes it so much more rewarding and it's like something that's really great to like look back on of just like bigger than I went out and we did this and we did that like no like you guys like really made a charitable difference for those four years that you were there
I agree.
I think at our school and specifically in my sorority in DG, our philanthropy is service for sight.
And a lot of the girls, I didn't because I had another like volunteer hours that I was doing outside of my sorority.
But a lot of the girls spent hours and hours on end, like going to events where they were able to help out people without people who are blind.
And like they benefited a lot from that.
And it ended up being something where I know a lot of the girls didn't
that are older than me once they graduated they actually continued to be a part of those organizations so I do think that there's definitely like an influence a really positive influence especially on a local level that the girls were able to participate in totally so this next one I feel like is lower for me just because I was so involved in my sorority specifically but number five is to become more involved on campus like in general so I just think this is different for
everyone like speaking of you were just saying you were like super involved in out of your sorority organization so this one probably resonates with you more but I think it would more be in the sense of like connecting with other people in your sorority and what they're involved outside of the sorority I think it definitely helps my ability to I don't know maybe again this is like one of those like subconscious things but like I think it definitely helped my confidence and feeling like a part of the like student body on campus and
Because I obviously like I got to school late.
I didn't have those same like two extra years of creating connections with other students that like when I joined a sorority, I felt way more confident in my own role on campus.
But I don't think that that was through like, I didn't join any other clubs or organizations other than being in Greek life.
But I do feel like similar to what Margo had mentioned earlier of feeling like I could walk on campus and recognize faces.
That was definitely like a huge part of things.
So maybe that kind of like answers that a little bit.
But yeah.
I don't think it made a, I don't think it necessarily influenced my ability to like feel more confident in like joining other clubs, but maybe just in like feeling like I was more like a Berkeley student.
